It has been reported that people with eczema could be less likely to develop skin cancer. A study has shown that eczema causes an immune response that causes the body to shed skin cells that could be potentially cancerous. This study may show there are some good health benefits to having eczema. I have always felt that my eczema may reduce the chance of me developing skin cancer, but for a different reason. As eczema sufferers we have sensitive skin. If I go out in the sun for a short time without wearing sun screen, I go a little tomato red in colour! So for the majority of time I am wearing high factor sun protection. Which has been recommended for years, to help reduce the damage that the sun can do to our skin. A little sunshine can help.
